1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the JobAthlete website (https://www.jobathlete.com) or installing the JobAthlete browser extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use our software.

2. Description of Service & Boundaries

JobAthlete provides candidate productivity tools. You can capture a job post with the on-page Capture button or upload a screenshot of it, generate an ATS-friendly resume and a recruiter email tailored to that job, review and edit them, and send the email directly from your Gmail account upon your confirmation. JobAthlete can also remind you to follow up, and show your application history in weekly reports.

Platform Scope: the websites that have an on-page Capture button are listed on our website and may change. You can use screenshot upload for other websites. We do not guarantee that JobAthlete works on every job board or employer portal.

3. Candidate Review Responsibility & Sent Content Disclaimers

AI-assisted outputs are drafts generated by artificial intelligence models. You, the candidate, are solely responsible for reviewing and editing all resume content, skill claims, and outreach email messages before sending them.

  • Responsibility for Sent Emails: emails are sent from your own Gmail account only when you choose to send them. You are solely responsible for the content of messages sent, the factual accuracy of your statements, and verifying the recipient address before sending.
  • Follow-Up Reminders: a reminder only notifies you. JobAthlete does not send a follow-up unless you review it and choose to send it.
  • No Hiring Guarantees: JobAthlete does not guarantee that your application will pass automated Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or result in job interviews or employment offers.
  • Accurate Representation: you agree never to misrepresent qualifications, certifications, or employment history in tailored resumes.

4. Plans, Quotas & Billing

Current plans, prices and limits are shown in the pricing section and may change. Paid plans are handled by email: you request an upgrade, pay as instructed, and we activate your plan after we confirm your payment.

Refund Policy: if you experience technical defects or service outages preventing application generation, you may request a refund within 7 calendar days of your initial charge by contacting support@jobathlete.com.

5. Acceptable Use & Third-Party Terms

You agree to use JobAthlete in compliance with all applicable laws and the Terms of Service of third-party platforms you browse and Google APIs. You may not:

  • Use the extension for abusive bulk messaging, unsolicited spam, or harassment.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with JobAthlete API quotas or security controls.
  • Violate rate limits or third-party automated access policies.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobAthlete and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of job opportunities, interview rejections, or data loss arising from your use of the extension.
